Poppy accidentally writes Satan instead of Santa and gains a demonic guardian.
Six-year-old Poppy, orphaned and tormented at school, mails her Christmas wish to Satan by typo. The Lord of Hell dispatches Cerberus, reduced to one head and wearing a red bow, to watch over her shack. The hellhound, renamed Pippy, speaks to her and chases off an intruder, giving Poppy her first taste of family. When bullies escalate, Satan descends as a shadow, shattering infernal law and taking black lightning wounds to scatter them. He later adopts her as Lucifer Morningstar to stop the orphanage from taking her. On Christmas, Poppy wishes to see her parents again, driving Lucifer to storm Heaven, endure holy fire, and return their souls for a final dream goodbye.
