Derek tries to finish the train ride and disappear forever.
Three months post-divorce, Derek boards the California Zephyr to deliver Chloe to university and then vanish. The three-day journey from Chicago to San Francisco traps him in a sleeper car with Scarlett, who still wants their marriage restored, and Chloe, who slips into his compartment on the first night after waiting six years to act on her feelings. With no exit until the final stop, Derek faces competing demands from the two women who define his past and threaten his future.
