Evan must prove his worth and protect the Lower City using his ant legion.
Evan Cole enters the Awakening ceremony with his mother's final beast egg, only for it to shatter and reveal Alia, a premature ant queen dismissed as trash. Their blood pact awakens her true nature as an S-rank Hive Queen who devours other beasts to evolve a relentless ant legion. In just three days of hunting, Evan directs his swarm through the academy trial, slaughtering an S-rank mutant to claim first place. The victory drags him into House Vale's dark magic, the secrets of the Undercity, and a looming war against the Abyss lord Valhan.
