Jay protects a homeless elder while surviving a cruel spouse.
Billionaire John vanishes onto city streets, posing as a destitute drifter to observe Jay, the grandson he never met. Inside a gilded mansion, Jay suffers daily degradation from his wife Anne and her predatory clan, who finally strip him of every asset and cast him onto the pavement. Penniless and betrayed, Jay still shares his last coins with the ragged stranger, refusing to abandon him. That selfless instinct convinces John to drop the charade, naming Jay heir to a vast European empire and sending Anne to prison for embezzlement, while a brilliant assistant named Sophia steps into Jay's life as a new romantic possibility.
