Isla competes in Luna Trials to become Lycan Queen.
Isla, Alpha of the Frostfang Pack, publicly rejects Kael, her fated mate, because he lacks a wolf, believing the move secures her path to the Lycan King's throne. She enters the brutal Luna Trials confident in her strength, unaware her authority was never truly her own. As the competition unfolds, the King she pursues watches from closer than she imagines, while the mate she discarded walks away with a quiet acceptance that masks a returning storm.
